The scope of the Leadership Team Coaching sessions consists of the following major activities:

  • Finalize the agenda and the scenario (this is done by the participants and facilitated by the coach).
  • Based on pre-defined format, participants will present scenarios of coaching sessions / activities that they would have conducted with their subordinates.
  • Brainstorm scenario outcome by getting other participants to share what went well, what could be different and what they have learned about themselves and from the scenario.
  • Agree on actions plan by exploring alternatives presented by participants.
  • Privilege MS coach will provide feedback observation on the psychological dynamics of Human Behavior in the scenario. Namely:
    • Analyzing the types of personality in the scenario.
    • Understanding the human behavior dynamics, such as:
      • Types of relationship (dependent, independent, and inter-dependent)
      • Understand the unconscious drives (emotional benefit), and “Blind Spot" about the stakeholders in the scenario.
    • Review research videos to enforce concepts that are discussed.
    • Conduct role playing sessions to validate concepts.

Psychometric instruments

This is about exploring the personal and interpersonal relationships.

Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire designed to indicate psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.

One-on-one Interview

Privilege MS coach will conduct face-to-face interviews with the selected sample of participants to understand the real challenges and understand the scenarios that need to be reviewed during the Leadership Team coaching sessions.

Leadership Assessment  questionnaires

Often time this is called “360-degree feedback instruments”. Based on Leadership Assessment tools that evaluate the five leadership types:

1.     Self-aware leader

For clients who are interested in Agile Leadership Team Coaching, the leadership assessment will be done based on the Agile Mindset and Agile Leadership competences defined in the Agile Leadership Coaching program.

Leadership Coaching Phases and workflow

Privilege MS follows a simple Leadership Coaching development phases: Planning, Assessment, Coaching Delivery, and Measurement.

The coaching engagement could be accelerated to a five month period, or to a longer period to allow coachees to practice and reflect on their awareness.

Description of activities

A

Define Leadership Team Coaching goals, scope and outcome (desired stated)

B

Conduct Assessment feedback about participants. The purpose of this assessment is to understand the leadership behavioral patterns and habits for the participants and their teams. The assessment will become the baseline against which the post group coaching assessment will be made to compare progress and benefit

Develop and agree upon the Leadership Team Coaching scenarios that will need to be included in the group sessions. Prior to each group coaching session, a few participants will come up with the scenario to discuss during the group coaching session.

D

Conduct Leadership Team Coaching session with participants. Coaching strategies will be applied to help participants become self-aware of their leadership approaches, understand and cause, and discover the actions they need to take.

E

After about two months of completing the Leadership Team coaching session, the coach will perform a health check assessment. This is completed by getting feedback from participants’ managers, peers and direct reports. The coach will compare original assessment with the new health check assessment, and produce a report of the improvement.

Repeat step D.

Coach will conduct the final assessment session, and will review it with participants.
